The difference between salt and sugar scrubs is the size of the grains. Salt scrubs use course granules, is mainly used once a month and is more abrasive. Salt scrubs should not be used if you have a sunburn, rash, cuts, or scratches. Sugar scrubs are gentler on your skin and should be used if you have sensitive skin. Sugar scrubs can be used once a week. Both scrubs should not be used if you have just shaved your skin.

If you enjoy taking relaxing, luxurious baths and want to use the scrubs SilkBody Spa recommends using some type of non slip mat. Also sprinkling baking soda in the tub before using the scrubs and wiping the tub floor after using the scrubs is recommended for safety.

If you have sensitive skin, scratches, cuts, sunburns or a rash then the Sugar scrub is recommended. You can use the Sugar scrub once a week. If you want to improve the circulation and improve the surface of your skin then the Salt scrub is recommended. Salt scrubs are a wonderful idea to help with cellulite.
